Learn Spanish In Dominican Republic

If you are considering traveling to another country to learn Spanish then why not learn Spanish in Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic is not only a native Spanish speaking country, but is also a tropical paradise in the Caribbean. The scenic beauty of the country combined with the friendly local people makes this a great place to study abroad and learn a new language.

The Instituto Intercultural del Caribe (IIC), is one of the schools equipped and ready for those who would like to learn spanish in Dominical Republic. This school has two locations on the island and these are in Santo Domingo and Sosua. Each location is beautiful and in addition to learning the language you can experience the country’s culture in either campus.

Both locations offer all levels of classes from beginner or standard classes to intensive one on one classes. The standard classes are 45 minutes in length and there are 20 classes per week, whereas the intensive classes can go as many as 30 classes per week.

The teachers are highly qualified as all have a university degree with at least 5 years of teaching experience. The courses require a minimum age of 18 and the maximum number of people in any class is 7. To learn Spanish in Dominican Republic in either of these schools is just the beginning.

In addition to learning the Spanish language both of these school locations also offer additions to the language courses, which include instruction on diving or wind surfing.

While you learn Spanish in Dominican Republic, you may prefer to see most of the country while studying. If this is of interest to you, you can select the option of a traveling classroom while attending IIC. With the traveling classroom option the cost of the course includes 20 classes, accommodations, transportation, and a tour of various locations all on the island.

If you decide to learn Spanish in Dominican Republic, don’t select the traveling class and would still like to see some of the island, the school also provides the option to split your time between Santo Domingo and Sosua locations. In either of these sites there are a variety of housing accommodations available for students.

There are boarding houses, shared apartments, private apartments and hotels. Most of these accommodations are only minutes walk to the school and also only minutes from beautiful beaches.

Another Spanish language school on the island is the Hispaniola Spanish Language School in the Caribbean. This school offers courses throughout the year and these courses are based upon 6 different skill levels. For those who not only want to learn Spanish in Dominican Republic, but would also like to take in the culture of the island the school offers Tourism and Culture classes.

In these classes a language teacher will be available for students as they travel around the island to various tourist and historical locations. With all courses the cost includes books and teaching materials.

In both of the schools you are not only learning a different language, but also are fully immersed in the language. Once you step outside of the classroom you will gain real world experience by talking to locals or even just doing regular daily activities.

Learning the language in a country where Spanish is native offers advantages and very often you can learn the language much faster when you are using it as you learn.
