The Latino world involves a very large number of different cultures and countries. These cultures and countries each take similarities from a singular culture and make it their own.

With the infusion of the Spanish Conquistadores hundreds of years ago, most of the areas we know as Latin American in nature would take their native tastes, flavors and culture and infuse enough Spanish culture, flavor and flair to make them just that much more interesting.

Most of the countries that are included in the Spanish culture each would have taken one or several pieces of that Spanish culture and transform it to work with the culture that had always been a part of them.

Chile is a country on the western side of South America along its coastline, it shares a border with Argentina and the two share the lower half of South America.

Chile, like most countries and cultures, has its own unique flavors for typical foods Chile style. Seafood is a very popular choice in Chile. There are many versions of seafood recipes that can be and are created.

Chile also has its fair share of different types of breads. Finding some of the recipes in English is not always a simple task. Some are willing to reveal the delicious recipes that can lead to temptation in meals and more.

This Chilean bread recipe is known as Pan de Pascua. Pan is the Spanish word for bread. Pascua is the Chilean word for Christmas. So this recipe is for Christmas Bread.

Like most breads in nearly every country, it involves the use of yeast and thus will take longer to create. Vegetable dishes are another popular item in Chile, and one of the most popular vegetables used from leaves to center would be the artichoke.

There are many methods of using artichokes including steaming them and consuming them with melted butter, stuffing them with various mixtures and many others.

The one I chose sounds as interesting as it looks because it combines the artichoke with salmon. It is known as Artichoke and Salmon Casserole. As you can see by the various recipes to be found here, the cuisine here is as diverse as the heritage, influenced by the ancient cultures of the Spanish, the natives and the sea.
